I do 300 a day

They start working within a few days although you might not really notice the difference for a few weeks, but…

… like any muscle, your PCs respond best to exercise when there’s time to *rest* in between.

100 a day (ten sets of 10, each one ten seconds long) every *other* day will get you faster results than doing 300 every day. It’ll also help to do some *pushing* after each set or after each squeeze)… Kegels aren’t just about toning the muscles, they’re about getting voluntary *control* of them.

Best answer wins a date with her (before the excercises) and a crisp £4 note.

She should do exercises only for her own benefit, not yours. (Will you let me have two £4′s for a £9….you make a profit)

PS: i’m female! so it’s not prostate

Are you having problems with incontinence or prolapse?
Sometime pelvic floor exercises will help by improving the muscle tone. They are often called Kegel exercises, after the obstetrician who developed them.

Are there any products out there that aren’t really embarrasing? I don’t want to ask my doctor because I don’t want medical advice – I’d rather find out from women who are experiencing it too

hello sam have you done a google search if not try it

I may have Interstitial Cystitis. So, my urologist might do a cystoscopy. What does it feel like? Is there anyone out there with IC or painful bladder syndrome? I am VERY SCARED. Please advice. Will the dilation of the urethra in women cause damage resulting in urinary incontinence?

I don’t believe this will cause incontinece. There may be some very minor dribbling right after the procedure, but that should be gone before you even leave the office.

You should talk this over with your doctor before the procedure. The doctor can explain each step, the associated risks, and what you will feel.

Good luck!

Do kegel exercises really work?and is it OK to start it at 16?
for men and women
what benefits does it have?
what is the benefits?

well the exercise has shown better results for treatment of urinary incontinence and to prevent prolapse after child birth.however the effect of exercise on sexual functions is ??? so for a 16 year old i would say its not harmful…

Any particular product that is better than others? Do they work? How long does it take to see a difference. What are major effects?

If this thing you’re looking into buying is a device used to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles so that your vagina feels "tighter", then buying it would be unnecessary. You can do Kegal exercises and they will have the same effect. When you’re sitting or standing (in a car, office, etc. anywhere), repeatedly squeeze the muscles that control when you urinate. If you don’t know how to locate these muscles, next time you’re urinating, try to stop the flow by squeezing your muscles down there; you’ve found your pelvic floor muscles. Each time you squeeze, count to three and then release. Do this as often and as much as you want.

When ever I am about to do an activity that makes me nervous I have to use the washroom extremley bad even if I have just gone a few moments ago. I would like to know if anyone knew anything about weak bladders and how to control it by anything (eg. excersize’s?.) However, when I get nerves I have to "deficate" NOT "urinate." I would like to know if there was a way to control it because I am in desperate need for certian things like going to do my liscence?
Thanks!

Defecation occurs when you bowel is full and it sends a signal to the brain to say ‘I really need to empty this solid waste right now!’ Opening the bowel should be a habit that we all develop as we mature, so we can say, ‘I go to the toilet at 6pm, or midnight’, some at 6am, every day! That way if we fail to go, chances are we are constipated, if we go to often we have diarrhea. Training your bowel is akin to learning how to walk! If you eat regular meals, then you will have regular bowel habits. If you eat healthy food, then you will regulate your bowel movements. It is all about routine and habit. The fact you get nervous, is the problem. Most people who get nervous have to urinate, some sweat, some bite their nails, some want to vomit, but with you, it ends up in a bowel movement, so you have to learn to retrain yourself. Try getting a band on your wrist and anytime you feel nervous, twang the band, take your mind off the bowel problem and see if you can retrain. Best of Luck

If so, what are the differences?

i would imagine so yes. tena pads are designed for those small wee moments that many women have. pantyliners are more designed for "those discharge days". i would say that tena pads are for absorbing iccle wee moments.

Any surgery that involves cutting and sewing will take six weeks for the tissues to gain their full strength.

As far as what you can do and when you can do it, it depends a lot on your overall health and what it is you want/need to do.

As long as you are on any narcotic pain medication, you should not drive.

My guess is that you will be up and about in a day or two, able to get around while taking it easy for a week or two, and feeling pretty good after that. Of course, strenuous activity will be off limits for a while, probably 4-6 weeks.
