lately i’ve been releasing small amounts of urine right after i use the bathroom…is this normal? have you experienced this before?
In early pregnancy, it is common for some women to experience ’stress incontinence’ – peeing a bit when they cough, sneeze, go to stand up, throw up. it’s all from the growing uterus coming forward and pressing the bladder. Leaning slightly forward when you do go pee, will lessen the chances of peeing at unexpected times as it helps to fully empty the bladder.
You can ask your doctor about keigel exercises, to help tone up your pelvic floor to reduce the chances of stress incontinence after baby is born.
Not all women are stuck peeing their pants every time the cough, laugh, jump up and down, or puke for the rest of their lives.. I had a 9 pound kid and my bladder still holds like a champ.
Congrats!

Its more common in later pregnancy but can happen all the same at any stage, everyone is different. Could also be a sign of an infection, if you have questions and are worried then go see you doctor and they can help you

You just need to go pee a little longer. Its not true decreased control, its hormones making you need to pee more. Also your output goes up… but yeah it’s pretty normal. Just try to push ALL of it out and wait a minute when you go.

If your having problems with it now, sorry to say but it’s not going to get any better. Your best to start wearing a pad and start doing Kegel exercises, that helps a lot. However by the end you have no control, you sneeze, cough, laugh or generally move and a little will come out. Welcome to pregnancy!

I would do something about that before actually having the baby, sounds like you have a weak pelvic floor and that will only get worse with pregnancy and childbirth.Google pelvic floor trainers. There are actually devices you can buy that you do keigal exercises around that strengthen everything for you.
You do not want to go through the discomfort of incontinence or worse a prolapse.

It can happen yes, you should probably do your best to try and strengthen your pelvic floor by doing kegels because after the birth it might take a while for you to regain your control. I agree that not all women lose control just from having a baby. I had a 7 pound baby naturally and I have yet to lose control. I’m on my second pregnancy now and both with my first pregnancy and this one i’ve not lost control. Maybe I just have a naturally strong pelvic floor, I don’t know, but not all women are doomed to pee their pants every time they sneeze lol.
