I am engaged to get married, Its an arranged marriage. I have had sex before with my x-boyfriend who i was going to get married to but that relation didnt work out. I am worried my fiance would find my vaginal walls loose. I want to know if kegel’s exercise would be beneficail in my case. or any kind of surgery you recomend.Honest answers needed

A kegel is the name of a pelvic floor exercise, named after Dr. Kegel who discovered the exercise. These muscles are attached to the pelvic bone and act like a hammock, holding in your pelvic organs. To isolate these muscles try stopping and starting the flow of urine. Involuntary leakage of urine (urinary incontinence) is the bane of many of us who’ve reached our 40’s — and often affects younger women, too. Decreasing levels of estrogen can weaken the muscles that have control over the urethra (the tube carrying urine from the bladder to the outside of the body). Other factors, such as weight gain as we get older, can make incontinence worse.

Kegel exercises are designed to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles (also called your PC muscles ). Kegel exercises can be good for women who are experiencing incontinence (as a result of childbirth, medical treatment, or changes/stress on the body), and they have also been recommended as a way of changing how orgasms feel (some, but not all, women say it enhances their orgasms).

The basic exercise can be done anytime and anywhere. Just squeeze your PC muscles as hard as you can, and hold them. This is doing a kegel exercise. Start by squeezing and holding for a count of 3-5 seconds, then release and relax for 5 seconds. When you release, notice how your muscles feel. The first time you do a kegel exercise see how many times you can do it before you feel your muscles getting tired.

kegel exercises will be most efficient and have the most impact if you get into doing sets of repetitions of the squeezing. Once you’ve found your baseline, you can work from there. If you can, start with doing 5 repetitions (squeeze/hold/release). Judge for yourself how long you can hold the squeeze for, but don’t push yourself too much at first.

Once you’ve found your baseline, do your exercises, and every couple of days increase both the length of time you hold the squeeze for, and the number of exercises per set. As a guideline, try to work up to a point where you can hold the squeeze for ten seconds. And try to work up to doing ten reps of kegel exercises per set. So you squeeze, hold for ten second, release, relax for ten seconds, and repeat ten times.people will use a toy or kegel exercising device to add resistance to kegel exercises. This is not necessary, and while some sex educators suggest it increases the usefulness of the exercise, doing them on your own is still a great way to develop your PC muscle. If you are interested in purchasing a product for kegel exercises, make sure it isn’t too large

Tips:
Isolate the PC muscle when doing your kegel exercises. At the beginning, remember to regularly check that you are exercising your PC muscle, and not other muscles. Avoid contracting your abdominal, thigh, or buttocks muscles. This is something many people do, but it reduces the effectiveness of the kegel exercise Concentrate on breathing and trying to keep yourself relaxed, and only tense the PC muscles you are using. Try not to tense up your whole body.

Finding time to do your kegel exercises. You don’t need to set aside a big chunk of time to do kegel exercises. Do a few reps while waiting for a stop light to turn green. In the last ten minutes before lunch, when you’re sitting at a desk, do a few reps. Do them while you’re waiting for the movie to start, or a commercial break to be over.

Don’t overdo your kegel exercises.Like any exercise, it’s important to build up slowly, and pay attention to your body. If you are experiencing pain or discomfort, you are pushing yourself too hard. It is possible that you could strain the muscles and aggravate a current problem, when you are trying to resolve it.

Kegel exercise products can be fun and helpful but they aren’t necessary.There are more and more products, often called “kegelcisors” on the market. While some of these can genuinely increase the strengthening exercises, and some of them double as fun sex toys, remember that they are not necessary. You don’t need any special work out clothes or paraphernalia to do kegel exercises properly

My wife did the kegels faithfully trying to avoid surgery, but had to have the surgery anyway. I am not trying to be discouraging, because her doctor is convinced that if she had seen him sooner that the kegels would have prevented the surgery. The problem was that she waited until it was too late for the kegels. So, keep up the kegels and don’t give up hope !! And for those of you that are waiting, don’t wait….see your doctor soon, and start those kegels now. It is much easier than the surgery.

I’ve been doing the kegel exercises online however idk how to use it to stop premature ejactulation, does it work by automatically making you last longer or are you suppose to be doing something while having sex r masturbating , also how long does it take to get results

Unlike what Aisha said, Kegel Exercises don’t only benefit females, but males also. They are something that will take a while to work, not immediately. You can take her advice on how to allow you to last longer during sexual stimulation, but you should also continue to do the Kegel Exercises. Just like any muscle, it’ll take a while for it to strengthen, depending on how often you use it, how long you exercise it and so on.,
Read the sites I’ve listed below and others like it to find more information on it. There are many books and websites to help you better understand how to do it. You can always talk to your doctor for more information on the PC muscles and Kegel exercises. You have to do Kegel exercises consistently to see the results of this in a good amount of time. There are other methods to use to control ejaculation that last for the short time (that one sexual experience) which you have probably already figured out. I have begun doing the kegel exercises but am not sure how to properly do them. Ive found my PC muscle and followed certain instructions, but do i perform this while i have an erection or does it not matteR?

when u do kegel excercise u work the pc muscles as well as the anal spinther ( something lik tt lazy to find the spelling) isit bad? coz it feels weird

i’ve posted a question on this category earlier about my bowel incontinence problem. now i’ve taken all the tests possible to assess my problem like blood test, urine test, fecal test, colonoscopy, and another test to detect fistula, etc.. and all those tests cost me a fortune! there’s still CT scan, but i’m reluctant to do it because i’ve heard it might cause allergic reaction on my skin. now the problem is, even if i do CT Scan, there’s only one option for me that is to do surgery. my doctor said the surgery will cause pain each time i pass motion. i’m only 28, so i don’t wanna live with the pain for the rest of my life. but i read on several websites that kegel exercise can help with bowel incontinence but i do not know the exact method. can someone advise pls..

I don’t know anything about bowel incontinence, but I do know a little bit about the kegel muscle. When you are urinating in the toilet, try to stop your flow of urine mid-stream. The muscle you use to do this is your kegel muscle. If you do this a few times, you will get the feel for how to use or "flex" this muscle. Then you can do exercises while you are sitting at the computer or driving your car or whatever, by just "flexing" this muscle, the same way you do when you are stopping your flow of urine.

I’ve only tried them one time so far. I squeezed for 5 seconds and rested for 10 seconds..and i did this about 10 times. I plan on doing this every other day. Is that enough to see results in a timely manner? I know all of the pros already but what are the cons of doing kegel exercises?

You should perform them around 100 times to see effect, as far as I know.
There aren’t any cons.

I have done kegels for a long time, way before my first pregnancy. My first child, I labored for 8 1/2 hours…I pushed for 20 minutes (no epis. or hemorrhoids either), the doctor almost didn’t make it to the hospital because the nurses discounted me as a first time mom who would push for quite awhile. The second birth went even quicker. I am pregnant with the third and will be at the hospital right away when it’s the big day to avoid giving birth outside the hospital.
