How do you perform Kegel Exercises correctly? I want to work out my PC muscle?

I’ve only tried them one time so far. I squeezed for 5 seconds and rested for 10 seconds..and i did this about 10 times. I plan on doing this every other day. Is that enough to see results in a timely manner? I know all of the pros already but what are the cons of doing kegel exercises?

You should perform them around 100 times to see effect, as far as I know.
There aren’t any cons.

    a routine i picked up has you squeeze for 5 seconds then rest for 2. do as many as you can until you can do 100 at a time. then squeeze and hold for a whole minute or however long you can, if it gets harder just squeeze harder. then hold a squeeze for a second then rest for a second. do as many as you can until you reach 100.

    I do them a few different ways. I squeeze and hold as long as I can, rest a few seconds, then repeat. Another way I do it is to hold, release, hold, release. Kind of a "flutter" motion I guess you could say. I’ve also tried squeezing, holding a few seconds, releasing, then squeezing right back. The difference between that and the "flutter" one is I squeeze and hold for longer. And my boyfriend has definitely noticed a difference. I didn’t tell him I was doing them, just to see if he would notice and say anything. He asked me what I have been doing since I felt so much tighter. I told him, and he’s begged me not to stop doing them!
