I know they control pelvic muscles, but do they control the anus as well as the vagina? I am trying to get my muscles vamped up (if you know what I mean) and I want to be sure I am working them right.
‘m not 100% sure of the anatomy, but the pelvic floor muscles I think basically surround all of those areas,& do control your vaginal walls, yourmeantthra, and yeah, probably your anus. they’re meant to HELP control the opening and closing of them.Although, there are internal "rings" of muscle separate from these. I was told to do these excersises after being in labor to get back to normal. You’re apparently supposed to sqeeze "down there" as if your holding back from urinating, & hold for a count of 10-20seconds & repeat over and over. it should strengthen the muscles quickly if done daily and has an added benefit of helping certain problems when your much older. as for sex, I’ve heard that for yourself it can help heighten sensation by bringing more blood to that area, and for the guy you’re with, you can squeeze down while he’s in over & over (pulsing) just as he’s about to "go" and that’s supposed to be great for him. Good luck!!
Where are the kegel pelvic muscles located?
