will doing kegel exercises daily throughout your pregnancy help at all when it comes time to deliver?

i have been doing them almost religiously everyday since i was 19 weeks pregnant because i read that they would help with bladder leaking later on in pregnancy, tearing during labor, and help you push better while you are delivering. is any of this true? will they help at all?

Kady is wrong….Kegels do not make you "tighter". They made the muscles that hold all of your lower organs in place STRONGER! Therefore doing them while pregnant WILL help during labor and help you to be able to push better! Keep doin em girl! :-D

keggel excersizes are for stregthening your muscles and tightening yourself down there. so if your trying to help yourself for delivery, your actualy kind of doing the opposite. the tighter you are the more likely you will tear because the baby has to fit through a smaller hole. so whoever tells you otherwise, is dumb
