Had baby three weeks ago and been doing the exercises but just wondered is there anyway I can tell how strong or weak my Pelvic Floor Muscles are (I’m not planning on having sex until after 6 week check up)?
If you can hold your wee mid stream without any coming out, then relax then hold again you should be on your way to strengthening them. Also when you do have sex try and squeeze round your partner’s penis – it’s good exercise for you and he’ll love it! hope that helps

The best way to test this is to do a wee and try to start and stop as often as you can. Try to completely stop the flow before you start going again.

as long as you dont pee when you cough, strain, sneeze of laugh, you’re doing really well. i didnt bother doing them until after i had my second baby and i still don’t really feel any difference

Sex has nothing to do with the strenghthening the muscle . Its a seperate exercise . There are specialised exercise for pelvic portion .
Have crunches of 5 types and get the belly developed first
Go to gym if possible or do the straching exercises in the house
Work on hemishire muscle of your legs i.e uppper thigh and lower thigh and calf since they are inter related with pelvic
Once you do crunches the ab muscle will get develop and you will find that your pelvic portion is nicely developed and flat and does not look shabby or fluffy or flushy .
Bent your knees and sit on legs , lean down to back and front and have 10 repetitions . You will have a nice stretch . For futher you can ask me on mail id – akshah_48@yahoo.com
